Olympic flame for Beijing Games lit amidst protest
On Monday, the Olympic torch for the 2008 Summer Olympics was lit in Olympia, Greece as per tradition. However members of various pressure groups broke through police cordons to protest against "the dramatic human rights situation in the country."

Final report blames instrument failure for Adam Air Flight 574 disaster
Indonesian authorities say the 102-fatality crash of Adam Air Flight 574 occurred when pilots trying to fix a navigational instrument failure accidentaly turned off the autopilot, then didn't check instruments that would have told them their plane was out of control.
