This is where the Wikinews community selects new featured articles. Featured articles should, at a minimum:
Be formatted correctly
Have pictures
Be well-written - see the Wikinews:Style guide
Cover the news event comprehensively without rambling
In addition, we should try to choose articles that were worked on by several ors, to highlight the collaborative nature of Wikinews. We should also make an effort to find the best examples of original reporting: scoops exclusive to Wikinews, extensive coverage, and excellent research.

Support. I think this is an excellent example of taking a rumor circulating in the blogosphere and turning it into a real piece of journalism, making the best possible use of the available sourcse and adding some original reporting to boot.
