A train was named 'Quaker Enterprise' in recognition of the contribution Friends have made to railways at a ceremony in Bristol, UK, last week.
When barred from Universities, many Victorian Quakers made their names in business, including the rail industry. Representatives from two well-known local Quaker families, the Sturges and Clarks [Url:http://www.clarks.co.uk ] attended.
